Well I did it. Bought a new SUP board. I had it out on the lake. I’m really loving it. What I like about suping is all the options. Surfing , flatwater, and rivers. ( class 1-2 to start with ). A new wet suit is on the way, so I can stretch the season out longer.
Happy suping to you all.

I got the Surftech . Designed by French " universal model"
the length is 10′ 6" Slight concave bottom. Really tracks very well, super stable. Did parts of the Mount Hope river last night. No issues at all. I love this board. Hitting the ocean in october.
How about you Chuck, what did you get?

Nice. Looks like a great board.
I’m glad to see more SUP’ers already….
I’ve only done a short stretch of class 1 float in my Oxbow 12′ Cruiser so far. And I cannot wait for some more.
I’m posting my progress in the next thread down.
My biggest push now is to loose some weight to be more stable on my board.

good show Chuck,
Hopefully this weekend I’ll be practicing walking the board. After watching some dvd’s I see the importance of the different stances on the board and how they effect the turning along with the paddle strokes. My goal in the spring is to run the section below the Zoar gap. That has a mix of everything. Keep posting, and we’ll have to get together one day. We should plan a ocean trip to Matunik and do some ( mild surf ).
